I was a free-lance photographer for the Sounders and I painted and drew the
players when I could. I worked full time at Boeing, so I only had so much
time. A lot of that was taken up with shooting the games and developing
and printing the film. The Sounders were discussing having my drawings put
on pins and sold at the games, but nothing came of it.
I did know several of the players at that time (1978-81) and often met them
at an East-side pub called "Barnaby's". Most of them were from the UK and
hung out together and some of the other players came there, too. Barnaby's
let me have an easel in the foyer of the restaurant and I changed players'
pictures regularly.
I was so bummed when the NASL fell apart.
I would love to do prints/posters. I have a shop at
CafePress, but didn't
think there would be any interest in 20 year old Sounders pictures! I
also can print very nice 8x10's on art paper myself. I print most of my
work at $10.00 in B&W. More for art paper.
